Dunedin Catering Information and FAQ's

Chef Gordon takes great pride in creating menus to accommodate your event, situation, venue and theme, and with his extensive experience we are sure to be able to tailor menus to suit your requirements. We have a large repertoire of delicious dishes and canapes that are sure to tempt your palate. We are also able to offer you various styles of service, delivered to you with a smile by our professional team. Let’s create that unique service to make your event stand out.

Frequently asked questions

Can we swap food and change items from different menus?

Our sample menus are just that: samples. We pride ourselves on tailoring menus to accommodate your requests and requirements, with a large repertoire of dishes to choose from we are sure to be able to create a menu to suit.

Can you provide bar staff?

Yes! And we can work with you to provide all your beverage needs. Please note at all times bb catering are guided by the New Zealand Liquor Act and some events may require a special license application. Some venues will provide the beverages for events.

Who will set the tables?

bb catering offer a set and breakdown service, this is a chargeable service but also can be negotiated.

Are the prices GST inclusive?

bb catering’s prices are all GST EXCLUSIVE.

What's included in the per person price?

bb catering aims to keep everything as simple as possible and we try to incorporate everything under our per person price such as cutlery, crockery, cocktail napkins, buffet ware, platter ware, food wait staff, kitchen labour and sometimes transport (depending on where your venue is). All other services are chargeable separately but negotiable.

Are there other costs I should know about?

Other costs would be any additional services you require that are not included in the per person price, which can’t be added to your account unless we discuss them together.

How long have you been in business?

Chef Gordon & his wife Fia (Sous) and Tara (Event Manager) and her finance Tim, have owned bb catering since 1st November 2010, but Chef Gordon, Fia and Tara have been in the hospitality industry for numerous years. Check out our “our story” to find out a bit more about our backgrounds.
